HAFA’s vision is to empower and support less fortunate countries with the ability to enhance the overall healthcare provided to their communities for better diagnostics, treatment and patient health outcome.
HAFA is a non-profit, 501c3 organization whose mission is to provide healthcare related equipment and supplies to medical communities in Haiti, and other developing countries while maintaining the equipment for optimal use; and training/mentoring clinical professionals on equipment use and evidence based practices.
HAFA was incorporated on May 20th, 2010 by president and CEO, Dorice Desrouleaux who, as a Haitian-American, wanted to make a difference and help her homeland of Haiti. This desire to assist Haiti’s healthcare system grew ever stronger after the devastating earthquake of January 12th, 2010. This commitment was shared amongst the executive board members listed below and HAFA became a reality.
